Adsense and miscellany

Adsense by Google Having adsense by Google does not help your business unless you have a large number of people visiting your site. I have had adsense for years, and even though I sent out my family blogs to over 50 people, still no one has purchased anything from a Google ad on the site. My grandkids read the blogs, and write me a comment or put a note on facebook, but they don’t buy. My question is who does buy from adsense? How do you make money from having it? I realize that you need about 2000 people coming to a site daily, but so far, acquiring this many has escaped me. Does it you? In all honesty for years I didn’t care, I wrote for my family and that was all I cared about, until recently. . Now, I find that Google places other Watkins representative’s ads on my Watkins site. Since no one has purchased anything from them, it isn’t a problem, but I see that my site is going up the ranks on Google as I do more and more things to improve my ranking. Now, I will make more profit if they purchase directly from me than click on an ad. One way I plan to solve this is to choose key words that are more representative of the items on the site and not include the name Watkins in my key words. One thing I hope to accomplish with being a member of Qondio is to learn what is being read on the web, and what is the best way to write for the internet. As a social worker, I had to write a great deal about my clients. Most of the reports were 11 or so pages with sections for each topic, and I had to write a paragraph on each topic. When you do 800 of those a month, plus everything else you need to do, you have to be fast and accurate, and break down the subject so that it is informative. That is why my writing is efficient, and rather crisp instead of homy. Took me a long time to learn. The first few I turned in were returned with not broken down enough, so I learned to put a lot of information into a paragraph. . Now, I need to improve my sites. I have several of them. Recently I saw a site that I really like, and I intend to see if I can make a site more like that one. It could just sit there and make money. It was such a simple site, extremely attractive, easily maneuverable and everything you clicked on went directly to Watkinsonline.com right at the item, or information I was interested in. It was an amazing site. That site must bring in sales. It didn’t have any real content itself, was just a click through site, but amazingly configured. To improve my sites myself, I will have to learn a little about html programming. I learned to program in basic in 1983, and it still helps me, but is so old that it has little value. I’m staving off Alzheimer’s by learning new things about the internet constantly. Hope it works. One of the advantages of the web is that the programming is improving and ever changing, making it more responsive and less cumbersome. This is also a disadvantage for someone like me wanting to improve my web sites. I find I need to keep up, and it is both frustrating and exciting. I find new sites all the time, thanks to my Intel followers and those I follow. It is great to be associated with all of you.

You need to compare the rewards from the Watkins affiliate to that of Google Adsense. If you get an ADsense click for 10 cents you may have lost a Watkins sale for much more.
