Love is a broad term
By Marlene Kaiser of Kaiser Distributing
When my husband and I were discussing marriage he brought up the context of "love unconditionally". That is what we have stood for all of our lives. Our daughter recently asked me about it,credited this concept to me, and I had to say "no" it came from her Dad. It is such a remarkable thing that he feels this way because he wasn't loved unconditionally as a child. He has had to overcome many emotional problems because of his treatment, and has physical problems that he can't overcome because of the neglect and starvation he suffered as a young child. Yet, this man loves unconditionally, he doesn't hold a grudge or blame anyone, he just lives the best he can loving whatever comes our way. We have always had a dog, and other pets. Once he brought home two guinea pigs. Something more to love he said, and since he didn't make sure they both were of the same gender, it wasn't long until we had 30 some to love. Our ignorance sure brought us a lot to love. I made a pen for them in our back yard, separating them by gender, but something got into the pen in the night, and they were all gone except the two, fortunately the same gender, that our children had in the house at the time. Loving unconditionally means taking care of those you love in the best way possible. We saw that all of our children were much loved and wanted and we did everything in our power to see that they grew up healthy. We never had much, but always seemed to manage because we loved each other and trusted in the good Lord to help us when we needed it. My son belongs to the Rainbow family and gathers with them every summer, and they adhere to love everyone also. They are called Rainbow because they accept everyone who wants to camp with them, often as many as 30,000 people in a mountain area in the USA, and many more in other countries throughout the summer. The rainbow of color and greed work together to choose the camp ground and to take care of it when they are through. There isn't enough love in the world, but if each of us do our part and love our family and friends unconditionally, we will increase the love in the air, and make this world a little better, at least our corner of it.
